Overview
Amity University Noida, established in 2005, is the flagship campus of the Amity Education Group, one of India’s largest private education networks with campuses across multiple states and countries.[1] The Noida campus holds NAAC A+ accreditation and is recognised by UGC.
Amity offers humanities programs through the Amity School of Liberal Arts and Amity School of Languages, alongside its larger engineering, management, and law schools.[2] The university’s scale is significant, Amity Education Group enrolls over 150,000 students globally, making it one of the largest private education groups in Asia.
This scale is both an advantage (resources, infrastructure, corporate connections) and a consideration (large batch sizes, less personalised attention compared to boutique liberal arts colleges).

Campus and Location
Amity University’s 110-acre Noida campus is located in Sector 125, along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The campus includes multiple academic blocks, hostels, a central library, medical centre, and sports facilities. The campus is well-maintained and designed for a large student population.
Noida’s location in the Delhi-NCR provides excellent access to Delhi’s professional, cultural, and internship ecosystem. The campus is approximately 25 km from central Delhi and is metro-accessible via the Noida extension.
Who Applies Here
Amity attracts a broad student base from across North India, drawn by the brand recognition, NAAC A+ accreditation, and NCR location. The BA programs (~INR 1-2.5 lakh/year) are priced at the lower end of private universities.
Students considering Amity for humanities should understand the trade-off: Amity offers infrastructure, brand name, and affordability, but is not a focused liberal arts institution. Batch sizes are larger, and the humanities programs exist within a university primarily known for engineering and management. Students seeking a boutique liberal arts experience may prefer smaller institutions.[3]
Things to Verify Before Applying
- Campus confirmation: Amity operates multiple campuses (Noida, Lucknow, Jaipur, etc.). Confirm you are applying to the Noida campus specifically, as quality and programs differ by campus.
- Batch size: Amity’s humanities programs may have large batch sizes. Ask about the number of students in your specific program and section.
- Fee structure by program: Fees vary by program. Verify the exact fee for your BA (Hons) program, including hostel and other charges.
- Placement data for humanities: Amity’s published placement statistics are university-wide. Ask the placement cell for humanities-specific outcomes.
- Amity JEE requirement: Confirm whether Amity JEE is mandatory for BA admission or if Class XII merit/CUET scores are accepted directly.
